SEED PAPER
To celebrate the Vernal Equinox and the Birth of Spring, I poured myself into this seed paper, shredding, blending, and pressing each sheet. Featuring sunflower seeds, calendula, and saffron, each page is an original watercolor painting naturally dyed by the materials on handmade paper.
This paper is a meditation with all of the magic already embedded, waiting for you to write your wishes, plant it, water it, and watch your wishes grow.

Over a 5 month period, a seedling can emerge into a towering 12’ sunflower. Joyful and cheery. Smiles guaranteed. At the end of its life, the flower head starts to shoe gaze as it dances in the wind. At that point, you can chop the head off and roast the seeds for eating. Quite literally, you are witnessing the cycle of life, from seed to flower and back to seed.
WARNING: seeds that flower will spread more seeds which equates to more flowers!

SUNFLOWERS require full sun. Plant 1 inch beneath soil after the last local freeze (generally March-April). Water once per week. Mature height from sowing directly in soil is expected to be 108-144” and 36-40” wide.
